Overview
The SG2175 RF Acquisition and Playback Module is built on Xilinx's UltraScale series, featuring the XCKU040-2FFVA11561 chip as the main controller, equipped with four 1GB DDR4 modules. The SG2175 also integrates a 256 Mbit QSPI Flash for storing configuration files and system files. Additionally, it adopts an M.2 physical interface for a Solid State Drive (SSD) socket, allowing users to expand storage resources as needed. Apart from the extensive storage resources, the board extends numerous interfaces, including the ANSI/VITA-57.1-2008-based FMC interface, an MCU communication interface, a JTAG debugging interface, an Ethernet interface, and user lO ports. Moreover, the board ensures impedance matching and equal-length processing for high-speed differential signal routing, minimizing line spacing to guarantee data transmission rates. Integrated features include a temperature sensor, programmable clock chip, EEPROM, and other peripherals, making it highly suitable for user expansion designs.
FMC RF Acquisition Module
The chip AD9208 used in the ADC FMC submodule is a low-power, high-bandwidth, 14-bit, 3 GSPS ADC. It supports the JESD204B high-speed serial interface with a data transfer rate of up to 16 Gbps. The AD9208 provides outstanding spurious-free dynamic range with ultra-low power consumption across a wide range of input frequency. The onboard clock chip, HMC7044, can supply various clocks required by JESD204B, supporting both external reference clock and onboard clock modes. It features a synchronous trigger functionality, with analog signals input through SMA RF connectors, and external reference clock input through SMA RF connectors (10MHz).
FMC RF Transmitter Module
The DAC FMC daughterboard integrates a dual-channel, 16-bit, 12.6 GSPS RF DAC with the AD9172 chip. The onboard clock chip, HMC7044, offers various clocks required by JESD204B and supports both external reference clock and onboard clock modes. Compatible with synchronization trigger function, with analog signal output through an SMA RF connector and external reference clock input via an SMA RF connector (10 MHz). This FMC daughterboard is widely applicable in wireless communication infrastructure, multiband base station radios, instruments, automated test equipment, radar, and jammers.
